Glass Double isn’t a mockup generator — it’s a playback system. Drive the screen that’s actually in the shot from a second device, so no actor or PA has to reach into frame. Build a cue sheet ahead of the take and step it live. In a signal dead zone, pair the two devices directly — peer-to-peer over a set hotspot, no internet and no server — and every take is snapshotted so you can roll back between setups.

The record, not just the render

Realism is the liability we solve — not the thing we sell.

Real iOS and Android UI, app icons and logos are protected by trademark and trade dress. Show them without a deal and you’ve bought errors-and-omissions (E&O) exposure that can hold up delivery. Glass Double keeps all of it off camera — everything on screen is original, fictional UI. But cleared pixels aren’t the whole job: Glass Double keeps an append-only record of exactly what was on every shot’s screen — which fictional skin, which assets, who signed off, and when.

Glass Double removes real-brand UI from the shot and documents what you used. Final clearance and E&O sign-off — including anything you add, like names, logos, likenesses or music — still rest with your production and counsel.

Straight answers

Why not just use a real phone in airplane mode?

Two reasons. Airplane mode hides the signal, not the brand — the camera is still pointed at real iOS or Android UI, which is the part that creates E&O exposure. And you're still relying on a crew member off-camera to land an incoming call exactly on action. Glass Double puts original, fictional UI on screen and lets you fire the cue on the button, take after take.

How does the clearance side actually work?

Every module renders original, fictional UI on fictional-OS skins — no real trademarks or trade dress — and each prop keeps a per-shot E&O clearance log you can export as a PDF. It keeps real-brand UI off camera, but final clearance sign-off still rests with your production and counsel.

Does it work offline on set?

Yes. Present / On-Set mode works offline, so you can cue calls, texts, and notifications from the Operator console at locations with no signal. Cloud sync catches up whenever you're back online.

What formats can I hand to editorial?

Export a numbered alpha PNG image sequence that imports into Avid, Resolve, Premiere, and After Effects, plus alpha WebM, plain WebM, PNG stills, a contact sheet, and the clearance PDF — all at your chosen fps and resolution.

Web, iOS, or Android?

One shared engine renders on web, iOS, and Android, so the prop can be the phone the camera sees or a browser on a tablet. Present / On-Set mode runs on any tablet for the playback op.

Can a whole crew collaborate?

Yes. Props live in cloud projects with real-time collaboration and version history, so prop masters, playback ops, and editorial all work from the same source of truth across devices.

Can I match a specific device?

Pick from real device frames — phones with a notch, Dynamic Island, or punch-hole, plus tablet and watch shells — so the prop reads as the exact hardware your scene calls for, without any real on-screen brand UI.
